First I want to thank you for your interest in FrogPad. Froggie is the greatest little keyboard in the universe! And he wants to keep hopping even in these difficult economic times.
FrogPad has been in business since 1999. Our company was hit hard by the ‘economic meltdown’. Even though we are financially sound, we have struggled to find funding, and have only been offered money by Vulture Capitalists taking 70% of the company or ‘Hard Money’ at 20% interest plus our first born tadpoles. Truly the Loan Shark way of doing things!
We have thousands of people emailing us and there are over 1,500 of you now anxiously waiting to order a FrogPad. These are not purchase orders, it is "onesy, twosy" orders, which we cannot take to the bank. So we need to pre-sell 600 units to begin production. 2. You can use a PayPal Gift Certificate (GC’s). The security of the Gift Certificate is that we can not redeem the gift certificate until you place the order for a FrogPad. You are not charged any fees, and neither is FrogPad.
These are the terms of the PayPal agreement PayPal Merchant Gift Certificate Agreement .
A Merchant may cancel any unredeemed Gift Certificate at any time provided Merchant refunds the full value of the Gift Certificate to the purchaser in accordance with the Gift Certificate terms and conditions and notify the purchaser and, if different, the recipient of such cancellation. ………Refunds on Gift Certificates purchased using a credit/debit card will have the face value credited to that credit/debit card. Refunds on Gift Certificates that were not purchased using a credit/debit card will be placed into the purchaser's PayPal account.
This is how it works.
First
You obtain a PayPal Gift Certificate on the FrogPad web site for the quantity of Lefty or Righty USB FrogPads that you want. The sales price will be $105. You can ask us at any time to refund your Gift Certificate.
Second
We will have a running number every day of how many FrogPad Gift Certificates were requested on our web site. And you will be informed by email when we achieve our tipping point.
Third
When we hit the tipping point, you then place your order for quantity and type of FrogPads. You pay for the order with your FrogPad Gift Certificate.
With 600 Froggies ordered, we can have our new keyboards in 3 months and the most aggressive time frame is 2½ months. Our manufacturer TG3 is on board with us. http://www.tg3electronics.com/. At first, this is for USB Froggies. We have also discussed with Texas Instruments building the reference design
for the Bluetooth Froggie using the latest Bluetooth technology Texas Instruments GumStix. It would be thinner and lovelier. And have memory, Wi-Fi and Linux. This could be available by year end.
Besides all of you who use Froggie for mobility and Tablets, AutoCad/Cam, etc., FrogPad is the leading keyboard for Children with Cerebral Palsy, Stroke Patient. And there are 20,000 Veterans who have lost the use of a hand or arm, many who have benefited from using FrogPad.
